VOLCAN POAS/LA PAZ WATERFALLS AND GARDENS spectacular volcano with one of the world’s largest craters. Stand on the rim of this active volcano and watch the fumarole activity. Bring walking shoes and a windbreaker. Then at only 15 minutes you will find the number one attraction La Paz Waterfall and Gardens offers the Bigger's Butterfly Garden and thousand of humming birds walk for over one hour. Stop at El Trapiche, a sugar cane processing farm and restaurant. OPTION: You can also visit the volcano with ATV's (they will pick you up at the hotel and the tour starts in Grecia through the scenic back roads, lunch included.

Watch as craftsmen paint their oxcarts and purchase some of the best souvenirs. Carara Biological Reserve ... Offers a huge variety of plants, birds, monkeys, marshes formed by seasonal flooding of the Grande de Tárcoles river. Only 35 minutes.
